Job Description

Ledgent is partnering with a growing distribution company in Saint Paul looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team.

Direct Hire. $85,000-$105,000 + discretionary BONUS. Depending upon qualifications/experience.

Job Description:

  • Prepare, review, and distribute monthly financial statements with a focus on accuracy, integrity, and reliability.
  • Manage the general ledger and monthly close process, including account analysis and reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial data and reporting related to trends, costs, revenue, and cash flow, ensuring alignment with internal policies and procedures.
  • Support external audits through timely preparation and documentation.
  • Monitor key financial metrics including inventory levels, aging of accounts receivable, and vendor payables.
  • Perform daily and monthly transaction postings to reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Maintain the integrity of financial systems and support integrations with related software platforms.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with current GAAP standards.
  • Provide support on special projects and initiatives as assigned by leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or MBA (preferred)
  • 2+ years with a CPA; 5+ years without
  • Proficient within Excel and other ERP software
